About the Project
Sumba is one of the poorest locations in Indonesia, with household income 20% of the national average. The lack of electricity limits education and health services, as well as productive activities such as irrigation and post-harvest processing.
Solution Delivered
Arkhara developed and deployed a comprehensive solar photovoltaic solution:
- 25 PV Schools — Bringing electricity and learning opportunities to remote villages
- 40 Corn Mills — Enabling agricultural processing with renewable power
- 10 Rice Hulls — Supporting local food production with sustainable energy
